I chose to specialize in family medicine because I love having the opportunity to journey with my patients through so many stages of their lives. From the joy of birth to chronic illness and healthy aging, I love forming long relationships with my patients and setting goals together to help them become healthier. I've found that the best progress is made by listening to each patient and trying to understand where they are coming from.  My focus is on creating an inclusive healthcare environment that is welcoming to all.  I have completed additional training and competencies in Gender Care and participate in the yearly WPATH educational conferences to provide these patients with the best possible care. I now work closely with our Gender Team on continued improvement of this specialty as the Co-Director of Adult Gender Services for HealthPartners.
