Learning Objectives
Following this learning activity, participants will be able to:
•Identify risk factors associated with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) and the impact of PMADs on child development.
•Recognize signs and symptoms of PMADs and how to screen using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS).
•Formulate strategies to generate a differential diagnoses, select treatment options and provide resources.
•Discuss how to counsel a mom with a positive screen and provide treatment options.
