Lady BERDs

January 26, 2025 to January 27, 2025

The lady BERDs is a supportive group for women clinicians in the emergency care setting that empowers providers to share strategies for navigating the known complexities of medical practice, provide a safer place for women clinicians to discuss experienced challenges and wins, and allow cross-generational pollination of ideas through shared varied perspectives. The January retreat is designed to equip our female clinicians with the knowledge and skills to navigate their financial future, prioritize optimize personal wellness, confidently approach job searching strategies and improve longevity and job satisfaction in their career. Through interactive sessions, expert guidance and peer-to-peer sharing, participants will gain practical tools to build a strong financial plan, cultivate holistic well-being and refine their job seeking techniques to achieve their career aspirations.

Target Audience

Current female faculty (MD, DO, PA), residents and fellows that work in the emergency department and surgical department at Regions Hospital. This conference also extends to female alumna of the same departments.

Learning Objectives

Following this learning activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe at least two strategies for prioritizing debt repayment
  • Name two ways stress shows up in their own body
  • Apply strategies to improve at least one of the following domains of personal health: sleep, nutrition, stress management
