"HEAR Patients with VERVE": Addressing Individual Vaccine Hesitancy - St. Paul
HEAR and VERVE are acronyms for motivational interviewing techniques designed to help healthcare professionals have educated and meaningful conversations about vaccines with vaccine hesitant patients. In a one-hour in-person training, we will conduct a training for 30-40 HCPs in the HP/PN network who work in specialty departments outside of primacy care. The aims of this training are to educate healthcare professionals on the importance of adult vaccinations and improve HCP's confidence and capability in addressing vaccine hesitancy.

Learning Objectives
Following this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the importance of adult immunization
- Identify opportunities to address vaccine hesitation outside of primary care
- Apply strategies to increase capability in addressing vaccine hesitation and awareness of vaccine-related informational resources
- Apply strategies to engage in a team-based approach for adult vaccination in clinical setting
