HealthPartners Institute Pregnancy & Child Health Research Center Symposium - 2025
The 2025 Research Symposium is focused on pregnancy, early childhood and the intersection of research and public policy. The Symposium will present current research and information on the “Health Trends Across Communities” dashboard by the MN EHR Consortium; the MN Free School Meals Program; and the influence of poverty on children’s cognitive, emotional and brain development.

Following this learning activity, participants will be able to:
- Define poverty, unconditional cash transfers and three ways poverty impacts child development
- Describe Minnesota’s statewide free school meals policy and identify early indicators of impact from the program
- Apply strategies to recognize the role school-based nutrition programs have in addressing social determinants of health and reducing disparities
- Discuss the MN EHR Consortium Health Trends Across Communities dashboard and how its data can be accessed to support public health programs or policies
