Tara Ettestad, RDN, LD, CDCES
Ms. Ettestad is a Program Manager at the International Diabetes Center (IDC) with the Care Transformation and Training team with a focus on integrating diabetes technology to improve glucose management. Ms. Ettestad develops education resources, training programs, and quality improvement initiations within the organization. As part of this team, Ms. Ettestad also provides overall diabetes technology education for primary care providers as well as health and industry professionals using adult learning techniques that include case studies, simulation, and hands on learning experiences.
Prior to joining the International Diabetes Center, she practiced as a dietitian and diabetes educator in a variety of outpatient and inpatient hospitals and clinics in Minnesota. She provided diabetes self-management care and education in both individual and group settings including training on diabetes technology such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices. Ms. Ettestad coordinated and precepted dietetic interns in their diabetes rotations as well as participated on dietetic internship selection panels.
Ms. Ettestad is a member of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. She is certified by the National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators.
