Dr. Averbeck is an executive physician leader with extensive experience in organizational culture, clinical operations, governance, quality improvement, measure development, and physician resilience. She is responsible for HealthPartners primary care practice partnering with over 700 clinicians in 55 practice locations. She maintains a clinical practice in geriatrics.
She has served on the boards of the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement and Minnesota Community Measurement and is currently on the board of the American Medical Group Association. She is on the planning committee for Group Practice Improvement Network.
Dr. Averbeck earned a bachelor’s degree at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and earned a doctor of medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She is a fellow in the American College of Physicians. She has a certificate in executive leadership coaching from Georgetown University. Her personal interests include traveling, music performance (oboe), cheesecake baking, and knitting.
