About me

I’m an internal medicine doctor by training and worked with patients in the hospital setting with HealthPartners/Park Nicollet for 13 years. In 2024, due to substantial professional and personal interest, I changed my focus to obesity medicine and weight management.

I believe weight management should be shame- and stigma-free and should focus on improving quality of life and lowering the risk of weight-related illnesses over time. I enjoy discussing both the clinical and personal aspects of weight management with patients, as it is, indeed, a personal journey.

My aim is to implement a multifaceted approach to weight loss that’s tailored to each individual patient. This includes helping to improve their health and well-being by focusing on a foundation of healthful dietary, exercise and lifestyle habits, as well as the use of medications and/or bariatric surgery, when necessary or needed.
