Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to:

  • 1.00 Medical Knowledge MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program
  • 1.00 MOC Lifelong Learning point in the American Board of Pathology (ABPath) Continuing Certification program
  • Credit toward the CME and/or Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s (ABS) Continuous Certification program
  • Credit toward the CME requirements of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery’s (ABTS) Maintenance of Certification program

  • Describe strategies and rationale for pre-treatment evaluation, staging and multidisciplinary consultation
  • Identify key issues that are associated with unusual/problem case
  • Identify protocols or treatment guidelines used or referenced in discussion of care
